Latest news. Docking is now illegal except for a few working dog breeds, so the CDB is no longer able to help members have their litters docked from the following dates:

Wales - 31st March 2007

England - 6th April 2007

Scotland - 30th April 2007

If you believe your working dog is exempt, we are currently suggesting that you do not mate your dog in the EXPECTATION that you can find a docking vet. We believe that there will be too few vets prepared to dock under the new legislation, due to the administrative conditions and threats from the RCVS. With such reduced numbers, we will be unable to guarantee new or current members a comprehensive coverage across England and Wales.
